The Union adopts legitimate means to achieve its goals and may establish regional offices and branches in Arab countries and abroad, and establish institutes and research and training centers to train cadres in the field of chemical and petrochemical industries, protect, support and develop them, and contribute to providing expertise, knowledge and information in order to provide the members’ needs for the necessary and basic inputs of raw materials and supplies. Production and manufacturing of packaging materials and intermediate materials within the Arab world and facilitating their exchange and assisting members in marketing their final and secondary products and providing the necessary recommendations to reconcile the various productive, technical, industrial and commercial activities of the Union members and proposing means of following up on the implementation of cooperation programs between them in these fields as well as preparing technical and economic studies and presenting Consultations and assistance to members, working to provide an information base and contributing to Arab and international seminars and conferences related to the chemical and petrochemical industries and their necessary requirements, introducing advanced global industry developments and global market fluctuations, consolidating links with specific unions and international Arab organizations with similar purposes, and submitting proposals for Arab legislation related to the protection of the Arab chemical and petrochemical industries. And the means of circulating and transferring them, examining the possibilities of international cooperation in this field, studying the absorptive capacity of Arab markets first and foreign markets later, helping to resolve disputes that arise between members or between members and others, and practicing arbitration when requested to do so. The Union may also take any other means it deems appropriate to achieve its goals. The Union also works to spread environmental awareness and direct designs and studies for chemical and petrochemical industrial projects in a way that ensures the protection of the environment from pollution, investing and manufacturing polluting materials and converting them into products and consumer goods, and issuing bulletins, periodicals and magazines.
